Michael Halbye Obituary Verbier Death:- Michael Halbye, Vice Chairman of the Lego family’s investment company, Kirkbi, tragically passed away in a skiing accident on Saturday in the 4 Vallées ski area in Verbier, Switzerland.
He was 64 years old. During the trip, Halbye suffered a fall that led to internal injuries. Although he was quickly taken to the hospital, he could not be saved due to internal bleeding. Halbye had served on Kirkbi’s board since 2020 and became vice chairman in 2022.
He was widely respected within the organization for his leadership and personal warmth. Kirkbi Chairman Thomas Kirk Kristiansen expressed profound grief at the loss, remembering Halbye not only as a key figure in the company but also as a deeply valued individual.
The company has requested privacy for his family as they navigate this difficult time. In addition to his corporate role, Halbye was a board member of the Mary Foundation, chaired by Queen Mary of Denmark.
