The community of Sherman, Texas, is grieving the untimely death of 18-year-old Hunter Dale Williams, a dedicated member of the U.S. Army National Guard. Hunter’s promising military career began when he enlisted on October 26, 2023, at the age of 17. After graduating from Sherman High School in May 2024, he completed basic training at Fort Moore, Georgia, and became an infantry soldier in December 2024 .​

On January 1, 2025, Hunter was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on South Travis Street in Sherman. Authorities reported that he was attempting to pass another vehicle at a high speed when he lost control and crashed. He was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries .​
Hunter was known for his love of adventure, including fishing, video games, and motorcycles. He was a compassionate individual who brought joy to those around him. His memory lives on through his family and friends who cherished him deeply .
