A crash in the Tyler Park neighborhood on Wednesday has taken a dark turn, with Louisville Metro Police now treating the incident as a homicide investigation. The crash, which occurred at the intersection of Tyler Park Drive and Baxter Avenue, involved a Jeep and a pickup truck. The female driver of the Jeep was rushed to UofL Hospital, where she later died from what authorities are calling an “unknown penetrating wound not associated” with the crash itself.
The nature of the wound has prompted LMPD to escalate the investigation to their Homicide Unit. Police confirmed that no one else was injured in the crash and are currently combing through leads.
